Pricing FAQ

What is an AI credit?

Credits are how AI auto-translate usage is measured. Each language translated costs 2 credits, so auto-translating a key into 5 languages consumes 10 credits. The auto-translate button always shows the exact credit cost before you confirm — no surprises.

What happens when I run out of credits?

Free, Starter, and Pro plans show an upgrade prompt when credits run out. Team plans can buy one-time top-up packs (Sprint, Project, Big push) without changing your subscription. Top-up credits are consumed before your next monthly allowance resets.

How does per-seat pricing work?

Each plan includes a generous number of seats. Adding teammates above the included count is priced per seat per month — clearly shown before you add them. Starter is +$5/seat, Pro +$4/seat, Team +$3/seat. You always see the new total before confirming.

What about annual billing?

Annual billing is 10× the monthly price, so you get 2 months free. You can switch between monthly and annual at any time from the billing page.

Can I cancel anytime? Do you offer refunds?

Yes — and your first paid subscription comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee. If nlit isn't a fit, email support@nlit.app within 14 days of the initial charge for a full refund (applies once per account; not to renewals or AI credit top-up packs). After that window, you can still cancel anytime from the billing page — you keep access until the end of your current billing period and nothing renews after. We don't issue refunds for unused time on renewals.

Do you charge per language?

You can add unlimited target languages to a project on every paid plan — no charge for that. The only language-related cost is AI auto-translate: each language costs 2 credits to translate. So having 20 languages in a project is free, but auto-translating a key into all 20 consumes 40 credits.
